    Symonds Yat Rock overlooks a spectacular limestone gorge, with impressive cliff faces, through which the River Wye flows. There are forestry and river walks. Park in the forestry commission car park, where there are toilets and a refreshment hut nearby. Walk down the cliff steps to The Saracens Head pub or Rose Cottage Tea Room, before a longer, gentler, walk along the river and up forest paths. Maps available to borrow.
